The world is split up into 6 main regions, the area shown in the demo is the first region of the full-game and acts as the tutorial region of sorts! Once you leave this region the game opens up, allowing you to explore multiple areas at your own pace, in any order you see fit.

It originally started as a gamejam entry for FletchFest 2023, with the theme of ‘pond’. Ell had always joked about ‘what if APICO but frog?’ before, and this seemed a perfect opportunity to play with the concept and how to take things in a new direction.

In the demo there’s only a few mushrooms just to ease people into the trait modifications, but there's a lot more strange mushrooms to find in the full-game with some challenging modifications to master!

In addition to the location around the map, you'll also need to pay close attention to the heat and moisture in the air at any given time, since this is where mushrooms can get tricky to pin down.

You awaken from your hibernation to find your pond abandoned and empty. Through a combination of crafting minigames, menu management and puzzle solving, experiment with genetics to breed new frogs and recover what was lost.

Mushrooms are the key component to changing the traits of the frogs you're breeding as you pass through generations by way of the magic muds you include in the nursery with the frogspawn eggs, so if you need to change a specific trait, be sure you've got the right kind of magic mud in as the tadpoles form. If not, you'll need to try again with a new bunch of frogborne eggs and a new batch of mud.

You’ll need to explore all the regions and meet up with the different members of the salvage team to work on fixing their problems and restoring each part of the pond, from clearing the algae that’s taken over the kindergarten pools, to draining the flooding of the residential district.
